Saau is a visually exciting play performed using self-lit puppets, masks, shadow puppets, Bunraku style puppets and actors. Saau is based on a Marathi children’s book by Swati Raje, It is a story of a little girl who struggles to bring back the lost light to her village of darkness. It reflects on authoritarian rule, suppressing on voices, a girl child’s fears and the state of women.
